How sending a gift to Paris works
Nothing crosses an ocean. The gift is bought in Paris, so there is no shipping delay, no customs form and no duty bill waiting for the person you wanted to surprise. You brief us, we buy, we deliver, you get the photo.
Your brief
What you want to send or the budget you have in mind, who it is for, the delivery address, the time window and the message for the card. By WhatsApp or email, from any time zone. We confirm feasibility and cost within two hours.
Bought in Paris
We buy the gift from the boutique, florist, pastry house or wine merchant that fits the brief. For a luxury item, we photograph it before it is wrapped so you can confirm it is the right one.
Hand delivery
A member of our team delivers in person to the recipient, the hotel front desk, the office reception or the hospital ward. You receive a photo confirmation, and a signed receipt when you need one.
Why buying in Paris beats shipping a gift from the US
A package sent from the US to France spends one to three business days in transit with the fastest FedEx services, and longer with the postal services. Since July 1, 2026, parcels from outside the European Union also carry a flat €3 EU customs duty per type of item, unless the parcel is a gift between private individuals worth less than €45. Above €150, regular customs duties apply, and French VAT is due on most goods. The recipient is often asked to pay before the courier hands the box over. That is not the surprise you had in mind.
Flowers, champagne, macarons and anything fresh do not travel well across the Atlantic in any case. Buying in Paris removes the transit, the customs step and the risk of a crushed box. The full comparison of options, with timings, is in our guide to the fastest way to send documents or a package to France.
Time zones: brief us tonight, delivered tomorrow morning
Paris is six hours ahead of New York and nine hours ahead of Los Angeles for most of the year. For a same day delivery, brief us before 10am Paris time, which is 4am in New York. In practice most US senders message us in their evening: the brief is waiting when our day starts in Paris, the gift is bought in the morning and delivered before lunch.
For flowers and champagne alone, orders placed before noon Paris time can still go out the same day. For anything that needs a boutique visit, a specific reference or a combined box, the 10am cut off applies. We work seven days a week, weekends and public holidays included.
Delivery in Paris, anywhere in France and in London
In Paris, we deliver to any arrondissement and across Île de France: private addresses, palace hotels such as the Ritz Paris, Le Bristol or the Four Seasons George V, offices in La Défense, restaurants and hospitals. When the recipient is staying at a hotel, we coordinate with the hotel concierge so the gift is waiting in the room or handed over at the right moment.
Outside Paris, we deliver the same day anywhere in France, from Lyon and Marseille to Bordeaux, Nice or a country house in the Loire Valley, depending on the distance and the time of the brief. For a recipient in London, a courier takes the gift on the Eurostar and hands it over in person the same afternoon, as described on our Paris to London hand carry page.
French dates and customs US senders often get wrong
Mother's Day in France is not in early May. It falls on the last Sunday of May, and moves to the first Sunday of June when it coincides with Pentecost. Father's Day is the third Sunday of June, the same as in the US. On May 1, the French offer lily of the valley.
Chrysanthemums are funeral flowers in France and are not given as a gift. When in doubt, tell us who the recipient is and the occasion, and we will suggest what works locally.
How much it costs to send a gift to Paris
Luxury and corporate gift missions start from €450. The gift itself is bought at cost and invoiced on its own line, with the receipt, so you see exactly what was spent. For a gourmet hamper, budgets typically run from €100 for a compact box to €500 or more for a premium selection.
For a company sending gifts to many recipients at once, clients, partners or a whole delegation, see our corporate gift programme from Paris.
A luxury fashion brand flying in eight VIP clients from Tokyo: welcome hampers sourced, assembled and placed in their hotel rooms before arrival. An international law firm: branded gifts sourced and delivered to 40 delegates at a Paris hotel before a client dinner.
