How much relocation services in Paris cost
The largest budget line in a relocation is the apartment, ahead of the relocation service: the security deposit, the real estate agency fees, the first month's rent and, for an employee with no French rental history, the cost of a guarantor. Few relocation providers spell these out. We list them in the quote so that HR sees the full commitment before signing.
Our own fee covers the support and starts at €1,500 for a full relocation, €450 for a single intervention. Anything we pay to a supplier on your behalf is billed at cost.
Housing before the lease is signed
An employee rarely arrives on the day the lease starts. In between, someone has to house them, drive them from the airport and open the accounts that the lease depends on. Most relocation agencies stop at the apartment, so this period falls between two providers.
We cover it with the rest of our offer: a serviced residence or a corporate apartment for the first weeks, airport pickup with a private driver, and the paperwork that conditions the rest. The order matters: without a proof of address there is no bank account, and without a bank account a rental file from someone with no French history is rarely accepted.
Relocation in Paris: the order of the paperwork
A relocation to Paris rarely fails on the apartment itself. It fails on the sequence: the landlord asks for a proof of address, the bank asks for a lease, and the school asks for an address in its catchment area. We know the order in which these documents unlock, and which providers accept a file with no French history.
For a company that sends several employees a year, we set the relocation policy once (search area, rent budget, level of family support) and each following relocation runs on that framework.
Invoicing a company with no French entity
The invoice is addressed to the company that sends the employee, even when it has no entity in France, which matters when the mobility budget sits at headquarters. For a company based outside the European Union, it is issued excluding French VAT under the export of services rule, in euros by default.
